Privacy for correction reports
You can browse events and report a correction without an account. A report records the event, any selected occurrence date, the correction category, your message and the time it was submitted.
Your email address or phone number is optional. If you provide one, administrators can use it to follow up about your correction. Please do not include sensitive personal information about yourself or other people.
Report messages and contact details are visible only in the administrator review area. They are not added to public event pages. Sending a report does not change a listing automatically and does not send an email.
The reporting form uses a session cookie and security tokens to protect submissions. A keyed fingerprint of the connection's IP address helps limit repeated submissions; the raw IP address is not stored in the report. Fingerprints expire after 24 hours and are cleared by daily maintenance, or when another report is accepted after expiry.
Administrators review open reports monthly. Reports and optional contact details are deleted in daily maintenance once they have been resolved for 90 days, unless a documented legal or security need requires a specific report to be retained and reviewed separately. Resolving a report does not immediately delete it.
D.C. Computing Services operates this community project and uses reports under legitimate interests to keep listings accurate and protect the service. Read the full privacy notice for hosting, backups, your rights and how to contact us.
